Before Catching the Train to 2023, Stop to Recognise What You Achieved in 2022
There is no other week quite like the one between Christmas and New Year. The world seems to move both faster and slower at the same time, between closing out the current year, recovering from Christmas celebrations, and preparing for the next twelve months.
Often, this can also be a stressful time, caused by the pressure to set goals and resolutions for the new year, which we are not always sure we will keep. Quite often, however, we avoid looking back at the year that has passed and feeling proud of everything we have achieved. Sometimes, this is due to the perception that we fell short of our expectations; at other times, it is due to the speed with which the new year approaches, stealing from us the opportunity to celebrate the victories of the year now coming to an end.
This time, before catching the train to 2023, we invite you to recognise and celebrate your achievements in 2022. Bring your team or family together, or take a moment on your own, and write down 5 to 10 points that make you proud. We asked our team to do the same. Take a look below.
Our Year
- We entered new business areas.
- We continued to nurture and consolidate relationships of trust with clients and partners.
- We saw people grow and venture down new paths.
- We faced new challenges, set by our clients, and sought different approaches and solutions.
- We made mistakes, learnt from them, adjusted our strategy, and did better.
- We added tools to our portfolio.
- We welcomed new people.
Remember 2022 and take pride in your journey. Value the effort your team put into pursuing shared goals. Recognise the positive changes your organisation embraced.
Perhaps then you will feel better equipped to look ahead to 2023.
The year is not over yet. Pick up a pen and start writing!
