MSCEIT™

O Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test

What is the MSCEIT™?

The Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT™) evaluates Emotional Intelligence through a set of objective and impersonal questions. Based on typical day-to-day scenarios, the MSCEIT measures how people perform tasks and solve emotional problems.

It uses a variety of interesting and creative tasks to measure a person's ability to reason with emotional information. This approach makes the MSCEIT ideal for situations in which participants might want to create a positive impression.

MSCEIT™

How does it work?

The MSCEIT is composed of questions that invite participants to perform a variety of tasks. The skills analysed include:

  • The ability to identify emotions expressed by a face;
  • The creation of feelings that can help to solve problems, communicate a vision or lead people;
  • The anticipation of how someone will react emotionally;
  • The improvement of decision-making, by integrating thought and emotion.

All these competencies play a crucial role in all key functions within an Organisation, from Leadership and Team building to Negotiation and Planning.

The MSCEIT can be applied in various scenarios: corporate, educational, research, and therapeutic.
